Lyon County Blood Drives

A single donation can save up to three lives. Blood is used in transfusions and procedures for patients who have lost too much blood, or whose bodies can’t produce enough blood cells. Blood can help with a variety of conditions, including cancer, blood diseases, anemia, organ surgeries, stomach and kidney diseases, fractures, and traumatic injuries.

Donald Carbery

Dec 18, 1953 – Oct 31, 2018

When diagnosed with cancer, this hero refused blood transfusions, just to make sure there was enough for someone else – strangers he would never meet.

In honor of Mr. Carbery, we call upon all eligible donors to make schedule appointments regularly to donate blood.

Let’s make sure there is ALWAYS enough for every patient.
